Know foods and their oxalate contents, What is the best food to eat when you have kidney stones ? Kidney stone diet chart, High oxalate foods, Good food for kidney, Best food for kidney stone, Low oxalate diet, How to pass kidney stone fast ?

Most genuine question is How to prevent kidney stones and Food to avoid kidney stone. Kidney stone me kya nahi khana chahiye is more important than kya khana chahiye.

Most of the persons consume about 200-300 mg of oxalate with their food every day.

If you have family history of oxalate stones or you have passed stones in your urine in past or if you have been operated for stones in past you are at high risk and should consume about 100 mg of oxalate in your diet.

If you are at very high risk then you should consume only 50 mg of oxalate per day in your diet.

From where oxalate reached to our body?

1 The main source of oxalate in our body is different chemical and metabolic activities. And we can't regulate or govern these automatic activities of our body. It's a byproduct of metabolic reactions. From blood it is excreted in our urine.

2 Secondly it is an essential constituent of our different food items. Naturally whatever we eat contain some amount of inherent oxalate in it. When we eat oxalate of food combines with calcium available in food. It makes calcium oxalate and excretes into the feces. If it is not excreted it is get absorbed in the urine and excreted in our urine. If urine is concentrated and thick because of less hydration or other causes crystals start forming and slowly stones form.

3 Oxalates are also produced from vitamin c breakdown. That's why don't take not more than 1 grams of synthetic vitamin c in your diet per day.

You should plan your diet to keep yourself stone free. Drinking lots of water in day and before going to bed and keeping yourself well hydrated is key to success.

These are the main points while preventing oxalate stones:-

1 Keep yourself well hydrated with 2 lts of urine per day

2 Consuming less than 2 gms of salt per day

3 Consuming not more than 150 gms of nonvegetarian food per day

4 To eat low oxalate diet

5. To have 3 servings of milk or milk products per day

6. Lifestyle modification to keep yourself active and non obese.
