Rice is the staple diet for most of Indians especially in South India. It is available as white or as brown which unprocessed.
Brown rice is a whole grain, It is rich in Magnesium, fiber, sodium, phytates and calcium, vitamin b comples.
White rice is stripped in bran and germ.
A cooked cup of white rice contain 4 mg of oxalate while a cooked cup of brown rice contain 24 mg of oxalates.
Brown rice contain 86 mg of magnesium in one cooked cup. It also has 3.5 gms of fiber, 2 mg of sodium and 20 mg of calcium.
It has good source of phytates, although anti-nutrients yet it slows down the stone formation.
Mix your rice with low oxalate vegetables and one servings of milk.
So yes you can consume rice, both varieties with some precautions.
